Premise

Absolute Zero is an action platformer whose graphic style was inspired by the Flash game, N. The game features a number of levels and can get pretty tough (there are options for setting the difficulty, though). There are also a few secret areas randomly placed throughout the game.

History

For a short while I was obsessed with the Flash game, N. I wanted to make a game just like it in Game Maker, but a few weeks of messy coding made me realize that I simply wouldn't be able to replicate the physics. Instead, I kept the graphics style and changed the gameplay. It became a sort of exploration game with really smooth movement. I released a demo a few levels into development and it became very clear very quickly that the game was too hard. Grudgingly, I made difficulty settings such that the player could play an easier version of the game. I also decided to add in secret areas. Absolute Zero was the first (and only) of my games to feature a storyline. Looking back, I see it as a waste of time.
